The Cookies are Always Tastier on the Other Side of the Fence

My mother was not a baker.  I don’t ever remember seeing her with a kitchen utensil other than a stir stick to mix a martini. My mother, however, was a great grocery shopper. She bought all the best Brand-named foods going;  Swanson TV dinners, Post cereals, Sara Lee cakes and Mr. Christie Oreo and chocolate chip cookies.

Breakfast Box

We're currently working on a Breakfast Box combination. Recipe testing and menu planning are now taking place.
One item we're considering is something we're calling Egg Bites. We think they'd make a popular addition to a box of snacks intended for breakfast meetings. We've tested these on family, friends, and even the lawyer's office across the street.

Baked Eggs

New hint if you ever need boiled eggs and find yourself without a stovetop.  Use the oven!
Out of necessity we've had to find some 'MacGyver' solutions here at the Lunch-Bags.ca kitchen.  In our original kitchen reno plans, we expected to install a range.  However, according to the building code that meant installing a commercial exhaust vent and upgrading our current HVAC system - thousands of dollars more than the pennies we had in our pockets.  So we opted for a small convection oven with n...
