What was In the Bag this week...

The Lunch-Bags like to get out of the kitchen from time to time. On the weekend we went for a hike at Short Hills Provincial Park located 4 km. southwest of St. Catharines. Short Hills is a 735-hectare day-use park with 7 trails, most are very hilly - as the park's name suggests - and 3 are deemed multi-use to accommodate horses, mountain bikers and hikers.  We discovered this Niagara gem last winter when were were looking for a snowshoeing location.
Arrive early because it can get busy.  Pack...

History of the Lunch Bag

In 1852 American, Francis Wolle, invented and patented a paper bag machine and in 869 he and his brother, along with other paper bag makers founded Union Paper Bag Machine Company and opened a state of the art plant in Savannah, Georgia in 1935.  The plant is still there and operating today, owned by International Paper Company.
